Travel Information

Visas and Immigration

Citizens from the majority of American and European countries do not need visas to visit Chile. For a complete list of countries for which visiting visas are required, please see the official immigration website

Arriving to Santiago

The main entry point to Chile is the Santiago airport (SCL, official name: Aeropuerto Arturo Merino Benítez) in the Pudahuel neighbourhood of Santiago.

From there, you can take a bus to downtown and the main subway line. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or use a transfer service directly to your hotel. Two transfer companies (Transvip and Delfos) can be hired from their kiosk coming out of custom inspection.

For travelers coming to Santiago by bus, all the main bus terminals are located near the Universidad de Santiago campus and have easy access to Line 1 of the Santiago Metro.

Getting to the conference venue

The closest subway station to the conference venue is Estación Central (line 1). From there it is a short walk to the Mathematics and Computer Science Department.

If you are coming directly by taxi, you should go to Las Sophoras 175, the closest pedestrian campus entrance
